Please take a few minutes and go to the Legislative website and share your opinion. As of Feb. 13 here have only been 229 votes cast (223 for and 6 against).  These counts should be in the thousands, so please if you haven’t weighted in yet, please take a minute to do so now. Let’s show lots of support for this Resolution.

The Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States reads as follows:

“The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people”
 
Congress may not simply commandeer the legislative process of the states by compelling the states to enact and administer federal programs.

These are part of the 2-page S.J.R.3, sponsored by Senators Settelmeyer, Gustavson, Hutchison, Cegavske and Goicoechea. Joint sponsors are Assemblymen Wheeler, Grady, Hansen and Kirner.
